Working from home is commonplace in many IT companies. We've put together some of our own best practices on how to make working from home as efficient and enjoyable as possible.
Over half of our team is currently working remotely. Like in many companies, in North IT, working from home became popular mainly during the pandemic. However, remote work has become a fundamental part of our corporate culture in the previous years. Throughout this period, everyone has faced the challenge of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. In this post, we would like to share some valuable insights that our "I'll work from home today" coworkers have gained.
- Establish Clear Boundaries: separate work from personal life by defining dedicated working hours. Communicate these boundaries to your colleagues, clients, and family members, ensuring they understand when you are available for work.
- Stick to a Routine: Develop a daily routine with some breaks and activities. Establishing a consistent schedule helps create structure and maintain balance.
- Set Realistic Expectations: Avoid overcommitting yourself and setting unrealistic expectations. Learn to say no when necessary and delegate tasks when possible. Setting realistic deadlines reduces stress.
