๐ How did you start your journey at North IT Group?
My journey at North IT Group started at Christmas when I accepted an offer - that was my "Christmas present". Then came the adaptation and probation period - I am still grateful to the people in our company, thanks to them my adaptation went as quickly and smoothly as possible, and I learned a lot during that time.
๐ What is your favorite project?
Probably my favorite project is my very first project in North IT - a dating platform. It was the first big project that I led on my own as a designer, and because of this first experience I acquired many useful skills, such as the ability to work quickly without losing quality, active interaction with the development and management team, and much more. While working on this project I never left the feeling that I was participating in the creation of a product that has no analogues - it is very motivating and inspiring.
๐ What soft skills do you think are necessary to work as a UX/UI designer?
In my opinion to work as a UX/UI designer the most important thing is to be empathic. First of all we design for people who will use the product. To make the design not only beautiful but also usable we need empathy, designers can feel and recognize people's pains which are then solved through smart design. Sounds like a superpower, doesn't it?)
๐ What are the main challenges you face in the process of your work?
I love my job, but even here not everything can be smooth: the pace of work can be too fast for me, impossibility to show 100% of my creativity because of any restrictions, burnout can affect the work process, but the main thing is that all this is solvable and I know that I can always turn to my team for help.
๐ What to do in cases of burnout and have you ever experienced it?
Yes, burnout came to me quite recently and I was very worried about it - because it is almost impossible to work productively and, most importantly, with pleasure during this period. The worst thing you can do is to force yourself to work better, more, faster and then blame yourself for the fact that it doesn't work out. This strategy will not lead to the desired results and will only intensify the burnout process. I got out of this state by accepting that I am coping as much as my resources allow me, I stopped pushing myself and worked at the pace I could. I also tried to have a good rest - after a week of such therapy I felt much better.
